Five Inspiring African American Women

The potential of greatness lives within each of us.... This was the most uplifting part of the entire quote!! As African American we have to thrive to be successful, intelligent, influential, powerful, and so much more!! This blog features five inspiring African American women!!!



Michelle Obama 

Since becoming the wife of the 44th and current President of the United States Barack Obama, Michelle has won over the hearts of millions. Not only is Michelle beautiful she has became a force to be reckoned with as she raise her astonishing daughters, remain a fashion icon, and serve as an idol to many!!



Tia and Tamera 

We all loved Tia and Tamera from “Sister Sister” but now these hot new mommas are back at it again!!! The twins will soon begin their third season of “Tia and Tamera.” The reality television series goes inside the lives of the sisters as they try and balance marriage, motherhood, and their successful acting careers.



Gabby Douglas 

At only seventeen years old, Gabby Douglas becomes the first African American gymnast to win both the individual and team all-around competitions at the 2012 Summer Olympics. 



Jennifer Hudson      
 
After becoming the seventh place finalist on the third season of American Idol Jennifer Hudson hit the scene running!!! After her successful debut of Dream Girls Jennifer has went nowhere but up. She won a Grammy Award for her debut album, Jennifer Hudson, which was released in 2008 and was certified gold by the RIAA for selling over 800,000 copies in the US; with sales exceeded 1 million copies worldwide. Hudson has sold 1,280,000 albums and 2,237,000 tracks in the United States as of February 2012.
